About me

I always begin with the question "why?" as the real problem to be solved is often not the first one that is presented. I have an analytical and structured approach to solving problems, and strive towards practical designs that make sense, always with empathy for the end user.
In Canada I was a mechanical engineer, and took a year off to travel in Asia, Australia and Europe. My experiences travelling inspired me to move to Sweden to experience a place and culture on a deeper level, as well as to pursue my dream of becoming a designer. Growing up in multicultural Canada, backpacking in so-called developing countries, and adapting as an immigrant to Sweden have strengthened my multicultural sensitivity, which has helped me as a designer and global citizen.
I have a life-long love of learning, and am constantly curious about trying new things. Each year I usually take up a new hobby, such as: yoga, snowboarding, scuba diving, African dance, hiking, cross country skiing, archery, sailing, cooking, programming, beer brewing, and most recently sewing.
